Maynards "Goody Goody Gum Gums"

Charles Riley Maynard started making sweets in his candy kitchen in 1880 and eventually launched as Maynards the company in 1896.  With a unique and distinctive fruit flavour, Maynards Wine Gums were introduced in 1909 and have been successful in the UK confectionery market ever since.  In 2001, Maynards Wine Pastilles were introduced and have extended the Maynards range and brand recognition.

Maynards was acquired by Trebor in 1984 and Trebor Bassett in 1990.

Note:  There is no actual wine in the recipe for Maynards Wine Gums.
