Placing an Order
To make a purchase, you can browse through
our store and click on the products you would like to
order and then put them into the shopping cart. Once
you have finished your selections, click on “checkout” and
you will be asked to select your preferred payment method
(Visa, Mastercard, Money Orders or Direct Deposit). All
prices shown are valid at the time of placing your order.
Once your order is entered, and you fill in the postcode
of the delivery address, the store will automatically
calculate the shipping costs before you
to commit your order or provide your payment details.
The costs are based on Australia Post charges plus handling
charges. If you are purchasing for delivery outside Australia,
we will advise you by email of shipping charges. Your
order will NOT be processed until and if you agree with
the shipping charges.
Shipping and Handling
For shipping and handling within Australia, we use Australia
Post (regular or express post). Orders should be
received within 2-4 business days in major cities and 4-7
days for country deliveries. Please allow a
little extra time for busy periods such as Christmas and
Easter.
For overseas orders, we use Australia
Post courier services.
Australia Post assesses charges for parcels according
to their actual weight or cubic weight equivalent, whichever
is greater. In some cases, the parcel may be light
(e.g a packet of crisps) but they take up more space
and are therefore charged on the cubic weight. As
we have no minimum orders, we add a small fee to cover
packaging costs and you will be informed of the full
postage and packaging costs before we ask for payment.
We try to despatch all orders by the next business day
and will notify you once the order has been despatched. In
order to ensure your order is received in peak condition
and not left sitting in a warehouse over the weekend,
orders received after 12noon on Thursday and Friday orders
will be processed on a Monday.
If you would prefer to arrange your own freight, please
let us know in the comments fields of the order and the
order will be held for collection. The
postage cost identified in your order will be deducted
from the final price.
Out of Stock Products
We try to ensure a continuous supply of stock, however
in the unlikely event of an item being out of stock,
we will hold the order if a delivery is due within a
few days and then ship the entire order. If this
is not the case, we will contact you for instructions
as to how you would like us to proceed. Quite often,
similar products are in stock and you may wish to substitute
for the missing item.
Returns Policy
If, in the unlikely event, the products you receive
are not in a merchantable condition, or do not agree
with the description provided, please contact us at treats@britishsweets.com.au or
02-9660 9912 and we will forward a claim form. Please
return the faulty product along with your claim form
within 7 days to:

Once received, we will assess the product and if found
to be faulty, we will reimburse you for the products
and refund the cost of freight.
Please note: we do our best to ensure that goods
are shipped in merchantable condition and cannot accept
responsibility for environmental conditions encountered
once a product has left the shop.
Ingredients
Owing to the quantity of products listed on the website
and the number of suppliers we use, we cannot guarantee
that they are free from traces of nuts, gelatine, whey
powder, cocoa powder and certain “E” numbers. If
specific information is required relating to a product,
please contact us and we will endeavour to assist.
