Originally founded in 1907 as Robertson & Woodcock, the company started by making boiled sweets and then in 1935 Trebor started making Trebor Mints. The name Trebor is synonymous with mints and holds a large percentage of the ‘mint’ market share in the UK.
From its launch of the Trebor Mint in 1935, Trebor’s have gone on to produce Trebor Extra Strong Mints (1937), Trebor Murray Mints (1944), Trebor Softmints (1981), Trebor Coolmints and Spearmints (1983), Trebor Softfruits (1985).
Cadbury Schweppes subsequently acquired Trebor in 1989.
