Batchelors Traditional Marrowfat Dried Peas
Traditional Marrowfat Peas are an Irish classic since 1935!
They are high in protein, low in fat, low in sugar and have no preservatives or artificial colourings.
Batchelors Marrowfat Peas must be soaked before cooking.
1. Rinse 200g peas with water.
2. Place in a large bowl. Add 560ml (1 Pint) of boiling water, together with the steeping tablet. Stir and allow to stand for 12 hours.
3. Rinse again. Add 560ml (1 pint) of boiling water. Simmer (do not boil) for about 20 minutes until tender.
4. When peas are cooked, add salt and sugar to taste.
