Product Description
Lyle's Black Treacle is an iconic British product introduced in 1950 by the Lyle's company who also produce Lyle's Golden Syrup.
Treacle is made from the syrup that remains during the refining of sugar and is a popular sweetener used in cooking, especially confectionery, breads, cakes and biscuits and as a condiment.
Treacle is similar to molasses but thicker and with a stronger taste. It has a slightly burnt caramel flavour.
